link to my version (as promised)... and again... I'm not trying to "out do" the work you've done coz I can't really take credit for mine anyway (I just used Gimp and its eraser to get rid of the background of the image I found through google... same as what you've done... I just figured you might like mine to use)...

Brilliant! Good work. I don't get offended, because I mainly re-work others' original art anyhow. I mainly make icons for my own use & then share these on DA, in the hopes others may find them useful.

So any further efforts by others has got to be good! I'm glad you did this one, I may use it

Hey cmnixon... I found one without the hand.... I'll upload it when I get the time (its one another computer).... I used a google images search and eventually (after about 100 pages) found a photo of a Kindle2 that had been done directly above it while it was on the flat plain surface.... an hour later ( spent with Gimp and an eraser ) I had a nice transparent background for Kindle2 without that damn model's hand that's on nearly all the images on the web.

Will message you a link, and will post the source file as well, incase you or anyone else wants to do something different/more with it. Actually, I'll make the time now and go and turn the computer on (even though I really should be in bed :-) )

PS not trying to "out do" your effort... its just that there is so few good usable images of a kindle (for icon docks anyway), that I want to spread the
